Systems Administrator and Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Systems Engineer and Azure Cloud Engineer to strengthen our IT team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in managing and optimizing infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, as well as solid knowledge of systems administration and networking. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud environments, with a particular focus on security, scalability, and service availability.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, configure, and manage cloud infrastructures on Microsoft Azure to ensure system availability, security, and scalability.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud and on-premises environments, taking proactive steps to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Manage the migration of applications and data to Azure, ensuring a smooth and secure transition.
• Implement security and compliance policies on Azure, including backup, disaster recovery, and access management practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to support DevOps processes by automating deployments and optimizing workflows.
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to infrastructure and management procedures.
• Resolve complex issues related to networking, storage, and cloud configurations in a high-availability environment.

Must have:

• Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on cloud infrastructure and systems administration.
• Azure Knowledge: In-depth expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Azure AD, Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Azure Monitor, etc.).
• Technical skills:
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of networking (VPN, DNS, TCP/IP) and security best practices.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash, or others).
• Certifications: Preferably Microsoft Azure certifications (such as AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-304, or other relevant certifications).
• Language: Excellent knowledge of Italian and English.
